Born August 26, 1754 at Franklin County, Pennsylvania.  He was a private in Captain James Poe's Company, 3rd Class of the Cumberland Company, Pennsylvania, Militia.  He was a private in Captain Robert McCoys Company, Colonel Watt's Regiment, 7th Class, in March 1778.  He married Martha Parks (1753-1828); children: Thomas b. 1774, Andrew, William, John and James.  He was an early settler with his son, Thomas, and others.  He died May 13, 1830, and was buried at Stevenson Cemetery (on Massies), Jones Road, Wilberforce, Ohio.  References:  Revolutionary War Graves Register.  Clovis H. Patriot biographies are to be written in complete sentences, follow the established rules of grammar, syntax and punctuation, be free of typographical errors, and follow a narrative format.
