Directions to Cemetery / Gravesite:

The Churchville Cemetery and the Licking Cemetery border one another. Licking Cemetery houses the old church. The Churchville cemetery belongs with the Churchville sign. These two cemeteries have been joined together on Find-a-Grave due to persistent confusion




Author: George Thomas
William Frampton was born 15 November 1742 in Burlington, New Jersey, son of John and Elizabeth Frampton.

William served during the Revolutionary War as a Private in the Cumberland County, Pennsylvania Militia. The record is found in the Pennsylvania Archives, 5th series, Volume 6, page 565. He served during the years 1780-1782 and was in the 4th class, 8th Battalion under Captain Means, and Colonel Alexander Brown.

His Father John severed and was in the Battle of Trenton.

His eight brothers John Jr., Samuel, David, Nathaniel, Simon, Arthur, Jonathon and James also served in the Revolutionary War.

William died on 15 October 1829 in Churchville, Pennsylvania.
