Qualifying Service Description:
  1. Private - under Captains James Gregg/Dregg, Thomas Fraser, Colonel Giles, Genl Marion - SC Militia 1780-1782
  2. Left the service the last of October in 1782. Was in no battles
  3. Engaged in dislodging a body of Tories on White Marsh between the Big Pedee and Little Pedee in 1781
  4. Present when Marion attacked British between Charleston and the Santee River and skirmish at Georgetown 1781
  5. Assigned occassionally to Colonel Peter Horrey and Colonel Mayhem's regiments
  6. Also served as Quatermaster sergeant
