Henry Weston Flesher was born on November 12, 1734, in Ober-Seemen, Hesse, Germany, his father, Balthasar, was 42 and his mother, Ann, was 41. He married Elizabeth Susanna Bush in 1759 in Virginia and they hey had 16 children during their marriage. Their son Adam Flesher served as a scout and ranger against the northwestern Indians.
Henry Weston Flesher Henry Flesher enlisted as a private in Capt. Michael Bowyer's Co. F. 12th Virginia Regiment on 7 Aug 1776, also known as 4th and 8th Regiment, commanded by Col. James Wood. He enlisted 6 Mar 1777 for two years. He was promoted to Sergeant 21 Aug 1777. His pay increased to $8 per month. His enlistment was over on 19 Aug 1778, when he was commissioned as 2nd Lieutenant in Capt. John McCoy's Co. of the Virginia Militia. He qualified as Ensign 10 June 1781 and was appointed Mayor of the Militia in Pendleton County, Virginia in Dec 1788 - Source: Don Norman of Hacker's Creek. Hacker's Creek Journals, misc. Henry Weston Flesher died on November 26, 1802, in Weston, West Virginia, when he was 68 years old. (Find A Grave Memorial# 87685362).
