Johan Adam Fleck was born in Stockholm, Sweden about 1739. His parents were Conrad Fleck, born in Hanover, Germany and Anna Maria Lnuk who was also born in Germany. Both parent came to America and died in Pennsylvania.
Adam Fleck married Magdalena Gable about 1776 probably in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. They had five children: Anna Maria, Johan Adam Jr., Daniel, Catharine and Jacob.
Private Johan Adam Fleck served in the First Battalion, 5th Company, 3rd Class in the Gwynedd Township Militia under Captain John Shelmire. At the time Gwynedd Township was in Philadelphia County. He also owned land and property and paid supply tax to support the Revolutionary War.
He died on April 27, 1820 in Gwynedd Township which would make him almost 81 years old. His wife died on March 25, 1844 which would have her in her 90’s. Both are buried in St John’s German Reformed Lutheran Church in the old cemetery in Center Square, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
The Last will of Adam Fleck was proven on April 29, 1820 and Registered in Will Book 5, page 207.
The Executors were his two sons, Daniel Fleck and Jacob Fleck, and John Clemens. The will is very detailed explaining exactly what his wife should have as well as dividing his property and wealth among his children. There was no value available for the estate.

Patriot biographies are to be written in complete sentences, follow the established rules of grammar, syntax and punctuation, be free of typographical errors, and follow a narrative format. The narrative should unfold in a logical manner (e.g. the narrative does not jump from time period to time period) or have repeated digressions, or tell the history of the patriot's line from the patriot ancestor to the author. The thinking here is that this is a patriot biography, not a lineage report or a kinship determination project or other report published in a genealogy journal. The biography should discuss the qualifying service (military, patriotic, civil) of the patriot ancestor, where the service was rendered, whether this was a specific state or Continental service, as well as significant events (as determined by the author) of the patriot's life. This is the entire purpose of a patriot's biography.
