Qualifying Service Description:

Sergeant, Bedford co. of Minute-men commanded by 1st Lieut. Moses Abbott, which marched on the alarm of April 19, 1775, to Cambridge service, 11 days; also, list of men between the ages of 16 and 60 liable to bear arms, as returned to Colonel Green, dated Bedford, May 15, 1775; also, Ensign, Captain Benjamin Walker's co ; list of officers to be commissioned in Colonel Ebenezer Bridge's regt.; ordered in Provincial Congress May 27, 1775, that commissions be issued to said officers; also, Lieutenant, Capt Benjamin Walker's co., Colonel Ebenezer Bridge's regt.; muster roll dated Aug. 1, 1775; enlisted April 19, 1775; service, 3 mos. 15 days; also, 2d Lieutenant, same co. and regt.; company return [probably Oct., 1775] (Secretary of the Commonwealth, 1899, p. 743)
