Manuel Eyre was born on 10 November 1736
He was married on 8 January 1760 in Philadelphia to Mary Wright. She was born in September 1743 and died on 18 April 1798. Their known children:
Mary was born on 8 June 1762 and married Thomas Robinson.
George was born on 21 April 1765
Lydia was born on 22 July 1770 and married Ralph Hunt.
Samuel was born on 24 January 1769 and died young.
Elizabeth was born on 5 January 1771
Ann was born on 31 August 1769 and married Christopher Little.
Manuel was born on 1 February 1777 and married Ann Connelly.
His services during the Revolutionary War included that of Private and Captain in military service, member of a patriotic committee assisting in the War, builder of Revolutionary naval vessels, and a patriotic citizen. Specifically, that includes:
Member of an Artillery company commanded by his brother, John Eyre.
Commissioned Captain in 1777 in General John Cadwallader's Brigade.
Member of Committee of Correspondence, elected November 1775, for Kensington.
The brothers John, Manuel, and Benjamin George Eyre built the gunboats Bulldog, Franklin, and Congress in 1775.
Member of Navy Board appointed by Supreme Executive Council, 13 March 1777.
Members of the Association formed in July 1778 among Whigs to bring Tories to justice included brothers John, Manuel, and Benjamin George Eyre.
Member of Commission appointed 1778 by Supreme Executive Council to make inquiry concerning engrossing of necessaries.
Elected on the new committee for same in 1779.
Member of committee to raise funds for the United States in July 1779.
Signer of the agreement to maintain credit and value of paper money in March 1780.
Subscriber of 5,000 pounds to the Bank of Pennsylvania.
The Patriot died on 1 November 1805 and was buried in Palmer Cemetery in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Patriot biographies must be the original work of the author, and work submitted must not belong to another person or group, in observance with copyright law. Patriot biographies are to be written in complete sentences, follow the established rules of grammar, syntax and punctuation, be free of typographical errors, and follow a narrative format. The narrative should unfold in a logical manner (e.g. the narrative does not jump from time period to time period) or have repeated digressions, or tell the history of the patriot's line from the patriot ancestor to the author. The thinking here is that this is a patriot biography, not a lineage report or a kinship determination project or other report published in a genealogy journal. The biography should discuss the qualifying service (military, patriotic, civil) of the patriot ancestor, where the service was rendered, whether this was a specific state or Continental service, as well as significant events (as determined by the author) of the patriot's life.
