Reuben Estes was born in 1741 in Louisa County, Virginia, to Richard Estes and Mary Yancey. He married Philadelphia “Delphia” Ruth Atkins in 1760 and they had 10 children. He served with the Rowan County Regiment, North Carolina Militia, during the war and took the Oath of Allegiance in Burke County in 1778. He lived in Caswell County and Burke County, North Carolina, where he owned land and was involved in local affairs. He died in 1811 in Burke County and was buried in Estes Cemetery, Collettsville, Caldwell County, North Carolina.

This is the entire purpose of a patriot's biography.
