Born January 31, 1760 at Lancaster, Pennsylvania, a son of Johann Heinrich Entsminger (1725-1806) and Mary Barbara Crantzdorf (1719-1806). He served as a Soldier with Virginia in the Revolutionary War. He married Mary Margaret Logue (1762-1840); children: John and Joseph Lewis, born 1801. He died October 29, 1829 and was buried at Maddy Cemetery, Addison Township, Gallia County, Ohio. References: Revolutionary War Graves Register. Clovis H. Brakebill, compiler. 672pp. SAR. 1993. Patriot biographies are to be written in complete sentences, follow the established rules of grammar, syntax and punctuation, be free of typographical errors, and follow a narrative format. The narrative should unfold in a logical manner (e.g. the narrative does not jump from time period to time period) or have repeated digressions, or tell the history of the patriot's line from the patriot ancestor to the author.
