Author: Raymond Leroy Livingston Jr.

Nehemiah Edge was born about 1730, at Upper Somerset, Somerset County, Maryland, a son of Joshua Edge and Elizabeth Ponder.  He removed to Hillsboro District, North Carolina and appeared in the 1779 North Carolina Census.  Edge provided services and supplies for the North Carolina Militia at Hillsboro District during the Revolution.  Edge received a land grant at Baldwin County, Georgia, for his services.

Edge removed to Wilkes County, Georgia, between 1782 and 1786.  He owned 75 acres of land on Williams Creek.  He died at Baldwin County, Georgia, in 1812.
