Adam Echert was born in Germany in 1735. He migrated to Pennsylvania and from there to what is not Catawba County, NC prior to 1778. Adam signed an Oath of Allegiance. His grant is recorded in NC Archives Grant #555, entry #1235, book 50 page 19.

Adam is buried in the St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery just off NC Rte. 16 Highway, north of Conover, NC
