Author: Dr. Michael Bernard Gunn
He was Born on December 31, 1761 in Winchester, Virginia a son of Irish Immigrants. Served first as a Private under Capt. Isaac Cox in 1776 and then as a Sergeant, Pennsylvania. Militia under Daniel Broadhead in 1778. He later fought Indians out of Ft. Pitt. He served in the Ohio Legislature. He married Mary Craig in 1793; Children: ? He Died on October 6, 1839 in Lebanon, OH 45036. . He is buried in the Old Baptist Cemetery (South side of Main Street, Lebanon, OH), 50 S. Harrison Street, Section 1, Row 10, Grave 8. Ref: Natl No 27,929 and 22,356, p 122, Vol. 3, D. A. R. Lin. His name is on a Memorial Monument in the Lebanon Pioneer Cemetery, 551 W Mulberry St., Lebanon, OH 45036. Patriot biographies are to be written in complete sentences, follow the established rules of grammar, syntax and punctuation, be free of typographical errors, and follow a narrative format.
