Qualifying Service Description:
1778, served as a Private of the 7th Class in the company of Captain Henry Reitz, commanded by Colonel George Breinig.
1781, served as a Corporal in the company of Captain Henry Keits.
Took the Oath of Allegiance

Peter Trachsel or Troxel was born on 28 December 1723 in Switzerland or Germany, the son of Peter and Juliana Traxel.
He was married on 19 May 1747 to Anna Maria Hunsecker. She died on 10 July 1795 in Northampton County, Pennsylvania.
Peter was born on 28 March 1751 and married Helen Schoener.
Daniel was born about 1754 and married Maria Veronica [surname unknown].
Jacob was born on 18 January 1758 and married Anna Eberhard.
Mary Margaret was born on 1759 and married Gottfried Roth.
Barbara was born on 13 December 1762 and married Peter Gross.
Susanna was born on 9 March 1765.
Lorenz was born about 1767 and married Christina Reichard.
Christian was born on 6 December 1771.
Magdalena was born on 30 April 1774.
During the American Revolution, Peter signed the Oath of Allegiance to the State of Pennsylvania and to the new government.
The Patriot died on 28 February 1811 in Northampton County, Pennsylvania, and was buried at Jordan United Church of Christ graveyard.
