Author: Michael B. Gunn
Born in 1765 in Connecticut. Served with Pennsylvania in the Revolutionary War as a Soldier under Captain Robert Means’ Company, 8th Battalion Cumberland County Pennsylvania Militia commanded by Colonel Alexander Brown. He married Jane Shaw (_-1847); children: Hamilton, Moses, George, Wilson & Robert. He settled in Section 23 of Elk Township, Columbiana County, OH in 1803. He died on March 12, 1835 and Buried at Bowman Cemetery, Elkton, Elk Run Twp., Columbiana Co, OH. Cemetery notes and/or description: Bowman Cemetery is located back a drive off the west side of Lusk Lock Road, north of County Road 419, outside Elkton, Ohio (Elkrun Township, Columbiana County).
