CUNNINGHAM, THOMAS  (Brown County)            [ 38.7165909 -83.7413177]

Born in 1742. He served as a Private with Pennsylvania in the Revolutionary War, having enlisted in Captain Henry Heath's Virginia Independent Company under Colonel Brodhead, at Fort Pitt, [modern-day Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania].  Service Reference: "A Muster Roll of Capt. Henry Heath's Independent Company now Station'd at Fort Pitt Taken the 5th day of April 1778."  He married [name unknown]; children: James and John. He received a Revolutionary War Pension for his service at S42664.  He died in 1820 and was buried at Evans Cemetery, Ripley, Brown County, OH. Cemetery Notes:  The cemetery is located on the west side of East Fork Road (Township Road 247) about 0.6 miles south of its intersection with Scoffield Road (County Road 49B).
