Born in 1742. He served as a Private with Pennsylvania in the Revolutionary War, having enlisted in Captain Henry Heath's Virginia Independent Company under Colonel Brodhead, at Fort Pitt, [modern-day Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania]. Service Reference: "A Muster Roll of Capt. Henry Heath's Independent Company now Station'd at Fort Pitt Taken the 5th day of April 1778." He married [name unknown]; children: James and John. He received a Revolutionary War Pension for his service at S42664. He died in 1820 and was buried at Evans Cemetery, Ripley, Brown County, OH. Cemetery Notes: The cemetery is located on the west side of East Fork Road (Township Road 247) about 0.6 miles south of its intersection with Scoffield Road (County Road 49B). Patriot biographies must be the original work of the author, and work submitted must not belong to another person or group, in observance with copyright law. Patriot biographies are to be written in complete sentences, follow the established rules of grammar, syntax and punctuation, be free of typographical errors, and follow a narrative format.
