Qualifying Service Description:
  1. 1777, he served as an Orderly Sergeant in the company of Captain Lott Leonard
  2. 1779, he served in the company of Lieutenant William McFarland at Fort McIntosh.
  3. 1781, he served in the company of Captain Miller, commanded by Colonel Daniel McFarland.
  4. Additional three tours, dates, and officers not named.
  5. 1782, he served in the company of Captain Miller, commanded by Colonel Crawford.
  6. Suffered depredation in 1781

The following biography was written by PRS staff with contributions by Mike Gunn.

Noah Cook was born on 9 August 1755 in Mendham, Morris County, New Jersey, the son of Jacob and Phebe Margaret (Lindley) Cook.

He served as a Private and Sergeant at Arms in the Pennsylvania State Troops.

Noah married Armanella Miller in about 1777. Among their known children were:

  • John was born on 8 December 1778 and married Anna Rowley.
  • Armanela was born on 19 December 1782 and married James McFarland.

After Armanella died in 1782, he married Sarah Baldwin on 3 March 1784. Among their known children were:

  • Jacob was born on 9 January 1781 and married Mary Lee.
  • Phoebe was born on 19 February 1785 and married Joshua Vennum.
  • Hannah was born on 4 August 1787 and married John Millikin.
  • Lydia was born on 10 August 1789 and married Thomas Brice.
  • Jabez was born on 11 July 1792 and married Hannah Pierson.
  • Rachel was born on 9 January 1798 and married David Dickey.
  • Thomas was born on 13 October 1804 and married Rachel Ann Damsell.

The Patriot died on 30 December 1831 in Lexington, Ohio, and was buried at Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Richland County, Ohio.
