Qualifying Service Description:
  1. 1776-1779, he served as a Private in the company of Captain Amos Morrill, commanded by Colonel Joseph Cilley, for three years
  2. 1779-1780, served as an Ensign in the company of Captain Daniel Livermore, commanded by Colonel Alexander Scammell
  3. 1780-1781, he served as a Lieutenant in the company of Captain Ford, the same regiment

Author: Michael J. Blum
Born on March 8, 1763 in New Hampshire. A Private, Ensign, Lieutenant and Major in 1st New Hampshire Regiment. Served under his father Colonel Joseph Cilley.
He Died on March 21, 1807. Buried in Dunlap Cemetery, W side of East Miami River Rd., about 2 mi. S of Colerain Avenue, Hamilton County, OH. A Monument. Ref:S. A. R.; also National No 55425, Volume 56, p 196 D. A. R. Lin.
