From Tweed New Haven International Airport: Get on I-95 N in East Haven from Dodge Avenue and Thompson Avenue. Follow I-95 N to CT-153 S/Essex Road at Westbrook. Take exit 65 from I-95 N. Follow CT-153 S/Essex Road to Norris Avenue. Turn left, go .2 miles

Lebbeus Chapman enlisted May 6, 1775, in Captain John Ely's Company of Saybrook.  He was discharged December 18, 1775.  He appears as a sergeant on the muster rolls of Captain Martin Kirkland's Company of Colonel Wolcott's Regiment, February 28, 1777.  He was appointed ensign of Captain Gallup's Company, September 28, 1777.

Lebbeus Chapman was born November 21, 1752, at Saybrook, New London County, Connecticut.  He married Sybil Kirtland in 1776.  During the Revolutionary War, he was a Lieutenant in the Connecticut regiments.  Lebbeus Chapman died October 16, 1833, at Westbrook, Middlesex County, Connecticut.
