Author: Fred R Ryan
Fred R. Ryan’s Patriot Ancestor is his Fourth Great-Grandfather Minos Cannon, born 1756 in Maryland. He served as a soldier in the North Carolina Militia. He was the father of Newton Cannon who served two terms as Governor of Tennessee. Minos died 10 May 1829 at Kirkland, Williamson County, Tennessee and is buried in the Newton Cannon Cemetery near College Grove, Tennessee.
