Enlisted in 1776 while living on the Yadkin River, in Wilkes Co, North Carolina. Served 3 months as Orderly-Sergeant in Capt Jesse Walton's company, of Light Horse, North Carolina. 1779, served on tours as Indian Spy under Capt Amos Bird

1780, served in Capt Wm Ritchie's company, South Carolina. 1780, served in Capt Samuel Johnston's company, North Carolina. Enlisted 1781, in Capt Alexander Gordon's company, Colonel Francis Lock's NC Regiment In battle of Eutaw Springs. Discharged 26 Sept 1781

Patriot biographies are to be written in complete sentences, follow the established rules of grammar, syntax and punctuation, be free of typographical errors, and follow a narrative format.
