Philip Terrel Burford    b. 6/29/1763    d. 6/14/1834    (DEKALB COUNTY, GEORGIA)

A native of Warren County, North Carolina, he enlisted there and served as a Lieutenant in the North Carolina Troops. In 1793, he moved to the Kershaw District, South Carolina and lived there for seven years. He also lived in Tennessee and later received a pension for his services.

Buried: McCurdy Family Cemetery, on Indian Creek near Stone Mountain.

Patriot biographies are to be written in complete sentences, follow the established rules of grammar, syntax and punctuation, be free of typographical errors, and follow a narrative format. The narrative should unfold in a logical manner (e.g. the narrative does not jump from time period to time period) or have repeated digressions, or tell the history of the patriot's line from the patriot ancestor to the author.
