When Micajah Bullock was born in 1742 in Hanover, Virginia, his father, Edward, was 38 and his mother was 52. He married Frances Pryor and they had nine children together including Philip, Richard, Edward, Benjamin, Leonard and Nancy Ann. . He then married Susannah Pryor and they had one daughter, Frances, together:

According to WPA records (1939) - "John D. Bullock, age 72 yrs, 8 mo, 12 days was the son of Michjah Bullock, a Col. In Greene's Army, who brought back from the battle of Guilford Court House the Rev. flag that is now lent to the Hall of History in Raleigh, NC. Dr. Newson says it is the only one in existence actually carried in battle."

Bullock & Dolby To Dolby & Bullock Know all men by these presents that we Micajah Bullock and John Dolby both of the County of Granville and State of North Carolina doe by these presents nominate and appoint our trusty friends Knight Dolby and Edward Bullock both of the County and State aforesaid our lawfull Attorneys to demand receive sue for and recover three Negroes with their increase namely Sary Darcus and Patt the being being Negroes came by the body of Philes given to William Bullock decd. by the last Will and Testament of his father Edward Bullock, decd. of the County of Hanover and State of Virginia all matters and things lawfully done by the aforesaid Knight Dolby and Edward Bullock or either of them shall be to all intents and purposes as binding on us or either of us as we were present and had done the same ourselves. We further do by these presents give full power and authority to the said Knight Dolby and Edward Bullock or either of them if the deem it necessary to appoint one or more attorneys under them to doe anything that may be lawful for the recovery of the Negroes aforesaid. He died on March 10, 1828, in Granville County, North Carolina, having lived a long life of 86 years, and was buried in Creedmoor, North Carolina.
