Samuel Bucklew was born 10 May 1762 in South Amboy, NJ. He married Hanna Pollard who was born 15 November 1770. Patriot Bucklew began his service 26 December 1780 and served through 1782 in Captain John Walton’s Troop, light Dragoons, Monmouth, NJ. This is documented in “soldiers of the American Revolution Buried in the State of Ohio”, pg 55. This is also documented in “Official Register of the Officers and Men of New Jersey in the Revolutionary War”. Patriot Samuel Bucklew is buried in the George Elliot Cemetery west of Blissfield, Ohio. His Daughter Jane Cunningham is buried next to him.
