Author: Jerry Powell Brigham
Abijah Brigham was on the Sudbury, MA muster roll of 1775, and he march on the Lexington alarm from Sudbury to Cambridge, MA. He was in Capt. A Wheeler’s Co, Col. E Howe’s regiment, as 2nd Lieut., commissioned 5th July 1776. Also, he enlisted 20th Oct 1779 in Capt. A Cranston’s Co, Col. Denny’s regiment. He was a blacksmith and resided on the ancient Dr. John Brigham homestead in Sudbury, where he was a selectman in 1778, 1781, and 1787.
