Born October 6, 1762, at Redstone Fort, Pennsylvania, Adam Bricker enlisted at age 14 in 1776, at Redstone Fort, Pennsylvania. He was the son of German parents who were massacred by the Indians in 1770 when Adam was about eight months old. While in the service, he was sent to Fort Pitt, to Marietta, and to Fort Washington, (Cincinnati) and to the Falls of the Ohio (Louisville) where he was discharged. He re-enlisted under Gen. St. Clair, and discharged after The Battle of Fallen Timbers. He married 1) Fanny Bredwell, 2) Rebecca Hartman (1781-1864) in 1805; Children: John Hartman b. 1800, Robert M. b. 1813, William, Thomas, Isaac, and 3 daughters, names unknown. He died August 31, 1843, on his farm 2 miles south of Williamsburg and was buried in Williamsburg Cemetery, Clermont County, Ohio.
He was a farmer and a noted hunter. His name is certified as a Revolutionary War Soldier in Clermont County, Ohio, August 9, 1832, Book G, page 515 and Book H; page 61. His wife Rebecca applied for his pension (Pension #SW2714) as he was certified as a Revolutionary War Soldier in Clermont County, Ohio, October, 1843, Book N, page 288 and April,1844, Book N, page 424, and Book O, Page 99 in August, 1844; his tombstone says 1843; records prove 1839. A stone marks the site of his grave, and his name is on a Revolutionary War Soldier's memorial monument with an SAR logo placed by the CCSAR in 2015.
