Sergeant in the Company of Captain Elijah Deming under command of Colonel John Ashley of Berkshire County, Massachusetts Militia in 1777
Later he served as a Private in the same company
Ordered to Fort Edward by Major General Schuyler

Constant Bosworth was born on 19 August 1736 in Lebanon, Windham County, Connecticut, the son of Nathaniel and Bethiah Bosworth. A deed from 1773 lists him as a shoemaker.
He was married on 28 November 1759 to Mary Ward Mather (1739-1777).
John was born on 20 September 1760 and married Chloe Seymour.
Amos was born on 4 January 1762 [Revolutionary War soldier]
Anne, was baptized on 16 October 1763 and married Obed Williams.
Mather was born in 1767 and married Bathsheba Deming.
Constant was born on13 May 1769 and married (1) Elizabeth Mather, and (2) Polly Gloyd.
Mary was born about 1772 [unproved daughter].
Daniel “Dan” was born on 20 March 1774 and married Anna Ladd.
Elihu was born about 1776 [unproven son].
He was married on 24 September 1778 in Lee, Berkshire County, Massachusetts to Mercy West.
Amy, was baptized on 16 February 1783 and married Oliver West.
Records from the Revolutionary War list Constant Bozworth as a Sergeant in the Company of Captain Elijah Deming under the command of Colonel John Ashley of the Berkshire County, Massachusetts Militia. He entered service on 8 July 1777 and was discharged on 28 July 1777 for service of 20 days. On 19 September, he enlisted in this Company again as a Private and served 16 days until discharged on 1 October 1777.
In 1816, Constant joined with four other men to form the Franklin Library at Stow’s Square.
The Patriot died on 21 June 1826 in Lowville, Lewis County, New York, and was buried at Stowe Square Cemetery.

Patriot biographies must be the original work of the author, and work submitted must not belong to another person or group, in observance with copyright law. Patriot biographies are to be written in complete sentences, follow the established rules of grammar, syntax and punctuation, be free of typographical errors, and follow a narrative format.
