He died 7 Mar 1785 in Charlotte Co, VA.
His patriotic service included Civil Service as a Member of the Committee of Safety for Charlotte County, Virginia, appointed by the Continental Convention of 1775 and 1776. Served as a Justice of the Peace and provided wagons and supplies.
He is buried at Locust Grove Bedford Family Cemetery in Drakes Branch, Charlotte Co, VA
