  • Jeffrey Beck was originally buried close to the river on his plantation in the family cemetery, Mills Creek, GA. When a dam was built, the grave was moved to the Stamp Creek Church Cemetery, Oconee Co., SC
  • Grave is located on back side corner of Stamp Creek Baptist Church



Author: Bryan Beck
Jeffrey was born Nov 25, 1752 and died Apr 12, 1838. He took an Oath of Allegiance to United States on Sept 12 1778. He served under Captain John Scotten’s Company in Colonel Dugan’s Regiment for 9 months and was discharged Jun 10, 1779. He then served again for 3 months under Captain John Hind’s Company of Light Horse and was discharged Dec 30, 1780.
Jeffrey was a 2nd generation patriot, his father Jeffrey Sr was a patriot who fought at the Battle Of Alamance in North Carolina.
He was married to Mary Ann McDaniel and had 11 children. He retired to Pickens County,SC where he served as a juror and worked his land and lived to an old age of 86.
