Reenlisted under Captain Henry Francis' Company, Major William Cloyd, 10 November 1776 - Served three months, Battle of Shallow Ford on Yadkin River (14 October 1780)

Henry Baugh was born in Lancaster County, PA on 4 April, 1762.
Henry volunteered in the Virginia militia on two separate occasions, 1775 and 1776, both for three month terms. His first term was with Capt. Robert Davis's company, Col. William Christian's regiment, under Gen. William Preston. During this term of service, he marched from Montgomery County, VA through North Carolina into what is now middle Tennessee. Upon his discharge he returned to Montgomery County. In his second term he volunteered with Capt. Henry Francis' company, Major William Cloyd. He again marched into North Carolina to the Moravian towns of Salem, Bethabara, and Bethania. We was in the battle/skirmish at Shallow Ford on the Yadkin River in North Carolina, fighting the British and Loyalists. He was later discharged in the Moravian towns and returned to Montgomery County, VA.
Henry married Maria Margaretta "Peggy" Phillippi in Montgomery County, Virginia on 28 March 1786. Henry and Peggy were the parents of nine children: Henry, Adam, John, Barbara, Christopher, Christine, Eve, William, and Catherine. Henry lived in Montgomery County, VA until 1808 when he relocated to Pulaski County, KY. He resided in Pulaski County until the time of his death on 9 October 1836. Peggy outlived her husband and is also buried in the Mount Zion Methodist Church cemetery.
