George Ball, Sr., was born in about 1752, the son of Moses and Ann Nancy (Brasher/Brashears) Ball.
He served with the Virginia Militia. However, there is no proof to support this service, but he is recorded as being a Patriot as he paid a supply tax in 1783.
George married Elizabeth Tunnell in about 1775, and they were the parents of the following known children:

Elizabeth was born in 1795
Wesley was born in 1797
George Jr. was born in 1765
Jesse was born in 1801

The Patriot died on 24 December 1825 in Russell County, Virginia. He is thought to be buried at Ball-Kincaid Cemetery in Ewing, Lee County, Virginia.

Patriot biographies are to be written in complete sentences, follow the established rules of grammar, syntax and punctuation, be free of typographical errors, and follow a narrative format. The biography should discuss the qualifying service (military, patriotic, civil) of the patriot ancestor, where the service was rendered, whether this was a specific state or Continental service, as well as significant events (as determined by the author) of the patriot's life.
