Charles Babcock, b. abt. 1757, Stonington, CT, and d. abt 1829, NY.  In abt. 1797, he married Catherine Smith at Nobeltown, NY.  Mrs. Smith was b. abt 1759 at Nobletown, NY, and d. abt 1829, NY.

Charles Babcock served in the Connecticut Militia in Capt. Richard Hewitt's Company, Commanded by Col. Jonathan Latimer from 24 Aug 1777 to 07 Nov 1777.
