Samuel Auxier was born about 1759 at Pennsylvania, and died at Johnson County, Kentucky.  He enlisted 26 February 1779, at Virginia, as a private in Captain Isaac Taylor's Company of Volunteers in the Illinois Regiment, under the command of Colonel John Montgomery.  He was discharged 14 July 1780.
