Ensign, Captain Winthrop Baston's company, enlisted 1 Feb 1776 [company known to have been raised Feb 1776, for 2 months service before Boston]. Ensign, Captain Winthrop Baston's company, Colonel Jacob French's regiment, company raised in Bristol and Cumberland counties. He was stationed at Winter Hill, 27 Feb 1776 and is on the list of officers of the Massachusetts Militia, being comissioned 26 Mar 1776
