Qualifying Service Description:
- Private in Lieutenant John Dean's company made up from 3rd and 7th companies Colonel Daggett's (4th Bristol County) regiment and credited with 2 days service at Rhode Island on the alarm of 8 December 1776
- He is also shown in Captain John Dean's company, Colonel Isaac Dean's (4th Bristol County) regiment; enlisted 1 August 1780 and discharged 7 August 1780 and credited with 9 days service on the alarm at Rhode Island

The biography should discuss the qualifying service (military, patriotic, civil) of the patriot ancestor, where the service was rendered, whether this was a specific state or Continental service, as well as significant events (as determined by the author) of the patriot's life. This is the entire purpose of a patriot's biography.
