- The cemetery was located on the William Burns plantation near modern-day Kearneyville. The plantation consisted of several parcels acquired by patent from Lord Fairfax in 1751 and subsequent grants in 1770, 1788 and 1789 for a total of 1168 acres. Most of this land was on the west side of a ford in the Opequon creek. The house and graveyard were on the low land near the creek on what was in later years the Kerfott farm, the White farm, and the Payne farm. About 1972, the graveyard was bulldozed for development
